Senior Business Analyst
Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
• Conduct in-depth meetings and interviews with stakeholders to gather and understand business needs.
• Analyze and document requirements comprehensively, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Utilize excellent listening skills to discern and extract key information from discussions.
2. Documentation and Communication:
• Create detailed documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Produce clear and concise reports, communicating findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Act as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
3. Data Analysis and Solution Development:
• Utilize analytical skills to interpret complex data sets, identifying trends and insights to drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and develop innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Leverage expertise to suggest improvements and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
4. Leadership and Mentorship:
• Provide leadership in project initiatives, guiding and mentoring junior analysts as needed.
• Offer strategic insights based on extensive development experience to steer projects in the right direction.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- • 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a Business Analyst role.
- • Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- • Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with a strong understanding of development processes and methodologies.
- • Proven leadership abilities, including the mentorship of junior team members and the capacity to lead project initiatives effectively.
- • Proven experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation.
- • Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- • Proficiency in business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
- • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
- • Experience in data analysis and SQL querying preferred.
